| | Why
can't I do all of the planning myself?
| | You
can definitely plan an event all on your own. Being part of the process is part
of the fun. There is a lot of work that goes into planning an even: the venue,
entertainment, photography, videography, favors, flowers, etc. Finding
the perfect vendors that will provide quality services at the right price requires
hours of research and interviews. When the day arrives, there are several details
that need to be tended to and vendors to coordinate. Managing all of this can
limit your valuable time with your guests. A coordinator is in touch
with quality vendors and has experience managing events. Allow someone else to
handle all of the details and find the perfect vendors, while you enjoy picking
and choosing your details and the day that they all come together.
| | | |
| | |
| | How
can I pull it all together?
| | Whether
you are from out of town and need your event planned in this area, or the details
are getting overwhelming, a coordinator can relieve the stress of planning your
special celebration. We have a comprehensive list of quality vendors
for all budgets. By regularly working closely with these vendors, often we can
save you money or help you get more for the money you spend. We are experienced
in event planning and are able to juggle the details of your event so it all runs
smoothly. | |

| | |
| | How
much time does it take to plan a wedding?
| | It
is estimated that a bride and groom put in an average of 200 hours planning their
wedding. Add that to most people's 40 hour work week, family and friends...your
time is quickly consumed. Your time is valuable. Enjoy your engagement.
Enjoy the extra time you will spend with your family & friends during this
special time. We can greatly reduce the time you will spend planning your special
day. | |
| |
| |
| | |
| | How
much does an average wedding cost?
| | The
average wedding in the Midwest costs $31,890. That is equivalent to a car or a
down payment on a house. Your wedding is a once in a lifetime experience. You
want your friends and family to share the special occasion with you. You want
the day to be exceptional. Just as you would consult with someone with
experience with cars or mortgages to ensure you are getting the best value for
your money... you should do the same for your wedding day. Afterall...you can
buy another car or house...you cannot repeat your wedding day.

| | |
| | What
is the role of a coordinator?
| | We
wear many hats: advisor, coordinator, supervisor, financial planner and mediator.
We have experience with special events and can offer our knowledge and resources
as we plan your special occasion. Your celebration will be in good hands
as we oversee the details and coordinate the stages of your day. We monitor your
finances to see that you are keeping on budget, and one of the most important
roles... we help to make sure everyone stays calm and at ease. We often
help to keep everyone satisfied and offer advice for tough decisions. We are here
to support you throughout the planning process.

| | |
| | What
qualities should I look for in a coordinator?
| | You
want to choose a coordinator with whom you feel comfortable. You will be working
closely with this person for quite some time and need to feel at ease with him/her
and confident he/she can handle the demands of your event. We offer quality
service by really getting to know our clients and offering personalized service.
We are very flexible with our meeting times and locations, as well as our regular
correspondence. We strongly believe that building a relationship with our clients
makes the planning process more enjoyable and makes you feel more comfortable
with us handling your special event.
| | | |
| | |
| | What
does a coordinator cost?
| | Coordinators
may charge a percentage of your total wedding cost, a flat fee established from
the beginning, an hourly fee or a combination of a flat fee and an hourly fee.
At Simply Perfect by Melissa, we charge a flat fee and offer hourly fee services.
We feel it is important for you to know what you are spending on our services
from the start, so you don't have to worry about the fees changing. We
determine our fees by considering the size of your event, the number of participants
and the event's complexity. We will happily discuss the service fees for your
event at a free initial meeting in person or over the phone.
| | | |
| | |
| | Do
I need a coordinator? | |
| | An
event coordinator is an asset in planning your special day. The time that you
would spend researching venues and interviewing vendors can be spent with your
fiance, family and friends. An engagement is a special time that should not be
consumed with the details of your wedding You will still have the fun
of planning your day, but we will do all of the work. Our efforts ensure that
you have a beautiful day. Your worries will be minimized and your enjoyment will
be maximized. Everything will come together, and you will get to enjoy all of
it along with your guests.
