Andrea and Luke are the ultimate urban couple and this was reflected in their wedding. From the loft space they chose to host their soiree to their pictures strolling the streets and shops of Little Italy, their wedding was a truly unique to them. Andrea fell in love with Gallery 1028 and knew this would be the perfect place for their fall wedding. She took a risk- her wedding would be the first for Calihan Catering since they had acquired the property. Her risk paid off…everything was perfect and moved smoothly. Calihan Catering was at their best!
Andrea and Luke put a lot of time and effort into creating the perfect menu for their guests. From the demi glaze on the filet to the savory vegetarian meal, Andrea and Luke wanted their guests to walk out raving about their meal. The intermezzo sorbet was served in mini sugar cones before the entrée was served. One of the their favorite parts of the meal was the dessert- a wedding cake made by an authentic Italian bakery, an assortment of pick-up sweets to include cannoli and cheesecake lollipops, and, of course, gelato.
To compliment the loft space at Gallery 1028, the couple choose a clean and fresh palette. The ladies of the wedding wore chocolate brown dresses from Ann Taylor complimented by the terra cotta colored Leonidas rose and accented with apple greens. The linens were apple green bengaline surrounded by the clean and crisp white folding chairs. The tables were adorned with simple floral arrangements- a single stem of cymbidium orchids submerged in water and candles glowing. Andrea added some uplighting around the room to highlight the loft architecture. Each guest was greeted with a personalized menu at their seat created by Paperina. The walls of the loft were decorated with contemporary art work provided by Brian Walker of Discovered Artists. |
